HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — A man was found dead Thursday evening after an apparent tractor accident in Hendricks County, authorities said.
Around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14, Hendricks County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a death investigation in the 4300 block of North State Road 75, just south of North Salem.
The sheriff's office said a a witness saw his neighbor's tractor running with its headlights on but no one visible on the seat. When he went to investigate, he saw an unresponsive man stuck underneath the tractor.
The witness immediately dialed 911, police said, but the man, later identified as 49-year-old Benjamin Love, of Lizton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's office said Love was the owner of the property where the incident happened.
The Hendricks County sheriff's and coroner's offices are investigating the incident. No foul play is suspected, police said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Love as they continue to navigate the tragic loss of their loved one," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
