INDIANAPOLIS — A man is in critical condition at a hospital after being hit by a car on the near east side of Indianapolis.
On Dec. 1, officers responded to the 2900 block of English Avenue, near Southeastern Avenue, for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. Officers found Mark Sheese, who had been struck.
"The driver did remain on scene and is cooperating with the investigation," IMPD said in a statement at the time.
Robin Sheese said her husband, who is a father and grandfather, is still in critical condition days later. Robin said she didn't know where Mark was going or what he was doing when he was hit at 6:30 a.m.
Officers at the scene told 13News alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
It is not yet clear if the driver will face any charges.
