Lucas Oil Stadium roof, window to be closed for Colts game against Bears

INDIANAPOLIS — The roof and the window at Lucas Oil Stadium will be closed Sunday, according to Indianapolis Colts team owner Jim Irsay.

He made the announcement just before 8 a.m.

In a post on social media, Irsay said that both would be closed. 

The Colts face off against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. 

"Some call it 'Colts vs Bears' but others know it's the true unofficial rivalry of I-65," according to the Colts website. "Defend Lucas Oil Stadium against Caleb Williams and the Bears during the second home game of the season!" 

There will be a "For the Shoe" wall flag available for giveaway. There NFL Mascots will compete against the PeeWees at halftime.  

Here's the schedule for the Colts home games this season:

  • Sunday, Sept. 29 - Colts vs. Steelers
  • Sunday, Oct. 20 - Colts vs. Dolphins
  • Sunday, Nov. 10 - Colts vs. Bills
  • Sunday, Nov. 24 - Colts vs. Lions
  • Sunday, Dec. 22 - Colts vs. Titans
  • Week 18 (TBA) - Colts vs. Jaguars
