LAWRENCE, Ind. (WTHR) - A police chase in Lawrence ended with shots being fired at officers Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the chase began after an armed robbery in the 8900 block of Pendleton Pike.
Officers spotted the suspect's car and attempted to stop it.
Police say the suspect fled and eventually crashed at 46th and Mitthoeffer Road.
Police say the suspect ran again after carjacking another vehicle with two people inside.
The chase ended at near Pendleton Pike and Post road when police say the suspect got out of the car and fired shots at police.
Police shot and killed the suspect.
Two people in the carjacked vehicle were not injured.
