LAWRENCE, Indiana — Lawrence police are investigating a deadly crash Thursday morning off Pendleton Pike near Daffodil Court.
A pickup truck left the road, rolled and struck a tree shortly after 7:30 a.m. Emergency crews had to cut the driver out of the vehicle.
The driver, only identified as an adult man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but police told 13News he died from his injuries.
Witnesses told police the truck was headed west on Pendleton Pike when it left the roadway for an unknown reason, striking two trees and landing on its side.
Investigators have not determined what led to the crash.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Marion County Coroner's Office at a later date.
