INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — It has now been nine years since Indiana University student Lauren Spierer went missing in Bloomington.

Spierer was last seen on June 3, 2011 after a night out with friends near the IU campus. She was seen on surveillance video leaving an apartment at 4:30 a.m. that day, but has not been seen since.

Police suspect foul play, but have not made any arrests.

Spierer's family marked the anniversary of the disappearance — as they has in the years since it happened — with a Facebook post on a page created to provide updates on the case from Lauren's family.

"For nine years we’ve followed every lead that has come our way, all either dead ends or lies. Not one single step closer to the truth," the post says.

"For those responsible, how lucky you have been," the post reads. "Nine years of dead ends for our family. Nine years of freedom for you. It will not always be that way. I hope that someday, someone will have a crisis of conscience and speak the truth. If not, well you got away with it. Or did you?"

The family has created a website with information about the case at FindLauren.com and asks anyone with information about the disappearance to email findlauren@gmail.com or call Bloomington Police at 812-339-4477.
