Lafayette - A new performing arts center opened Sunday at Lafayette Jefferson High School.
Local car dealer Bob Rohrman provided most of the funding for the 34,000 square foot center that bears his name. The performing arts center is a new wing attached to the school.
"Cars, they come and go, we move five to six times during our lifetime or more, but you just never forget your times you have spent at your high school," Rohrman said. "And the performing arts is a major part of that."
Rohrman is an alumnus of Lafayette Jefferson High School. The center includes a dance studio, rehearsal rooms, classrooms and a newly-renovated theater.
