Jenna Wolfe has been named the first-ever TODAY Lifestyle and Fitness Correspondent. Wolfe will also serve as NBC News National Correspondent. The announcement was made Friday morning on TODAY.

As TODAY's Lifestyle and Fitness Correspondent, Wolfe will cover a variety of topics from healthy living and wellness to strength and body improvement. She will also continue her wide range of feature pieces for the program. As NBC News National Correspondent, Wolfe will report for all platforms of NBC News including NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.

"This new role is tailor-made for Jenna," said NBC News President Deborah Turness. "Anyone who has seen her health and fitness segments on TODAY, as well as her reporting across all of our platforms, knows what a brilliant expert she is and how passionate she is about the topic."

Wolfe will begin her newly-created role Sept. 19 with a segment on the new "yoga pose" craze where she will interview (and pose) with Hilaria Baldwin. Then, on Sept. 29, she will launch her Pick-A-Part series, where she will give viewers easy tips on how to tone and define specific body parts. She will continue her national and feature reporting each week across NBC News.
