(WTHR) - IPD Officer Jake Laird was not forgotten at his daughter's wedding this year. She was only 7 when he was shot and killed in the line of duty in 2004 at the age of 31.
Now 19, Jake's daughter saved him a seat and wore a locket with his picture on her wedding day.
Last year, IMPD honored Officer Laird on the 10-year anniversary of his death.
A year after his death, he was also honored at the Indiana Statehouse.
On Facebook, the Indy Going Blue for IMPD page shared a photo from Jake's daughter's wedding.
