LAWRENCE, Ind. — An investigation is underway into the cause of an early-morning fire that caused extensive damage to a house in Lawrence.
Around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, a Lawrence police officer spotted the fire in the 4500 block of Zoeller Avenue, near East 46th Street and Pendleton Pike.
Crews worked for roughly 30 minutes to bring the fire fully under control.
Fire officials at the scene told 13News the house appeared vacant, but crews noticed hoarder-like conditions inside while fighting the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
