Investigators in Connersville looking into death of toddler

CONNERSVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — Investigators in Connersville hope to learn more about how a boy who was almost 1½-years-old ended up dead at home.

The boy, who would've turned 2 years old in November, was found unresponsive and taken to the hospital just after 9:30 p.m. on April 5.

Sources tell 13News that the parents told police they left home for about one hour. The boy was at home with his 12- and 3-year-old brother.

The investigation shows the boy may have suffered some kind of forced suffocation.

The boy’s death remains under investigation. The autopsy will help determine the manner and cause of death.

No one has been charged or arrested in this case at the time of this story.
