INspire Her Summit debuts to unite champions for women and girls in Indiana

Speakers at Thursday's event included female billionaire Jenny Just and Glick Family Foundation Director Marianne Glick.

INDIANAPOLIS — More than 250 attendees gathered March 21 at Historic Union Station in Indianapolis to celebrate women and work toward a more empowered future for women and girls. Speakers included female billionaire Jenny Just and Glick Family Foundation Director Marianne Glick.

The Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, the Indiana Girl Coalition and Pass the Torch for Women joined forces to create the day of connecting, learning and supporting.

In her keynote address this morning, Just spoke about her journey to the top and offered tips for women to leverage strategy and a competitive spirit in male-dominated spaces. 

13News anchor Anne Marie Tiernon moderated a lunchtime discussion on "Leaving a Legacy," alongside several notable Indianapolis women:

  • Marianne Glick, owner of Glick Art and director of the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Family Foundation
  • Deborah Hearn Smith, former CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and currently Women4Change board co-chair
  • Carolene Mays, founder and CEO of Black Leadership & Legacies and host of WISH-TV Community Link
