UNION GLACIER STATION, Antarctica — An Indianapolis woman is this year's winner of the southern-most marathon in the world.
Liesl Muehlhauser won the Antarctic Ice Marathon on Dec. 13 at Union Glacier, Antarctica.
She finished the marathon in 3 hours, 29 minutes and 16 seconds.
It is summer in the southern hemisphere but weather is still a challenge. On Dec. 14, the temperature in Antarctica was about -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
