INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Street Outreach Animal Response (S.O.A.R.) Initiative is an Indianapolis nonprofit organization focused on helping people and their pets who are experiencing homelessness.
The group goes from homeless camp to homeless camp treating animals. They provide vaccinations, food, leashes, and they and spay and neuter — all free of cost.
They say oftentimes for people experiencing homelessness, their pet is the strongest bond in their life. The goal of S.O.A.R. is to help care for those animals to better improve the lives of the people.
