MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) — Three people found dead in a Muncie home Sunday have been identified as two parents and their 14-year-old child.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Department said a relative found 58-year-old Casey Ritchie, 45-year-old Denise Miles and 14-year-old Rylee Ritchie dead in a home near West Timothy Way and West Thornburg Drive Sunday.
Police were called to the scene just after 4 p.m. Sunday. Delaware County Sheriff Tony Skinner said evidence points to the case being a double murder/suicide, that Casey Ritchie shot Miles and Rylee Ritchie before shooting himself.
"There is no evidence to suggest otherwise," Skinner said in a release.
Investigators are not commenting on a possible motive at this time.
The victims will undergo autopsies Monday to confirm the cause of death.
