MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) - Muncie Community Schools have chosen to close East Washington Academy again on Friday.
Cold temperatures and furnace issues forced the district to close East Washington Academy Thursday.
The school district will hold a special meeting next week to find a long-term solution to heating problems in an elementary school.
The school says it has already repaired two of its heating units, but a third still needs to be replaced.
Administrators will address the cold classroom concerns during a meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. at Northside Middle School.
