INDIANAPOLIS — There was a big announcement Oct. 20 for fans of Indianapolis radio station WFMS.
Jim Denny, one of the morning drive hosts at the station, announced plans to retire after 35 years on the air.
Country music fans know Denny's voice well. The "Jim, Deb and Kevin" show has built a loyal following with a central Indiana audience.
They've received numerous honors over the years, including from the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association.
Denny will wrap up his iconic radio career Friday, Dec. 15.
To celebrate, WFMS is asking people to line the parking lot at 6810 N. Shadeland Ave. at 9:45 a.m. with homemade signs and noisemakers to send Denny off after his last show.
Congratulations, Jim!
