GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) – The Grant County Sheriff's Department is praising some inmates Friday.
They have three teams that work around the county.
One crew went above and beyond, cleaning headstones from the 1800s.
The Sheriff's Department wrote on Facebook that the inmates researched how to restore the stones that were almost entirely covered in dirt.
They're hoping to continue this work in the future.
