INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Weather Service has confirmed that seven tornadoes touched down in the state on Monday.
The towns of Macy, Somerset, North Wells, Pendleton, Middletown, Wabash and Dyer were impacted by tornadoes on May 27, 2019.
The tornado in Pendleton was determined to be an EF-2 while the tornadoes (2) in Henry County around Middletown were EF-1s.
The four other confirmed tornadoes are listed below:
- Blackford/Wells County, EF-3
- Somerset (Grant County), EF-2
- Dyer, EF-0
- Miami/Fulton County, EF-3
- Wabash County, EF-1
The categories of a tornado are determined based on wind speed and damage.
