Two Indiana State Prison guards have been released from hospitals after being stabbed by an inmate.

Prison spokeswoman Pam James says the inmate attacked the officers Thursday night. One guard was treated at a Michigan City hospital and returned to work later that evening, but the other was airlifted to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. James tells The (Munster) Times that guard has since been released.

She didn't release the guards' names.

Their alleged attacker, 34-year-old Terrance Swann, 34, is serving a 130-year term for two murder convictions stemming from a 1999 Indianapolis home invasion. He's not due to be released until 2066.

After the stabbings, Swann was moved from the prison in Michigan City to the nearby Westville Correctional Facility.
