INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana State Police trooper was injured in a crash at the North Split near downtown Indianapolis Wednesday morning.
The trooper's patrol car was stopped to protect a crash scene ahead of him.
While the trooper was sitting in his car, another car rear-ended him around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3. The driver of that car was taken to the hospital.
The trooper "suffered minor injuries," according to an ISP spokesperson.
Indiana State Police is investigating what led to the driver hitting the trooper's car.
