MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA, Ind. — Indiana State Police is investigating the death of an inmate at the Madison County Jail.
Around 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, jail staff discovered the inmate, identified by ISP as Jacob S. Lyttle, unresponsive in his cell. The staff provided aid until the Anderson Fire Department arrived at the scene.
Lyttle was pronounced dead at the scene.
An ISP spokesperson said Lyttle was alone in his cell at the time he was found and was being held in the jail on "unrelated charges."
Lyttle's cause of death is under investigation, and there is "no evidence of foul play" at this time, the spokesperson said.
