INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police K-9 Koda is now patrolling with extra protection, thanks to a recent donation.

The nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. made the donation for a stab protective vest, which is embroidered with, "In memory of K9 Falco, Gary, IN-EOW 7/13/23."

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, and a single donation of $985 will sponsor one vest.

The nonprofit has provided more than 5,300 vests to K-9s in all 50 states, totaling nearly $7 million.

Koda is assigned to the Indiana State Police Indianapolis District with her partner, Trooper Hunter McCord, and typically patrols in Marion County on the evening shift.
