WESTVILLE, Ind. — The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post is looking into the death of a 35-year-old inmate Tuesday morning at the Westville Correctional Facility.
According to ISP, John R. Taylor, from Greene County, Indiana, was found dead Nov. 7 around 8 a.m.
The LaPorte County coroner determined Taylor died from blunt force trauma.
ISP said Taylor was serving a sentence for felony convictions out of Greene County.
Following the investigation, the case will be turned over to the LaPorte County prosecutor to determine if charges will be filed.
Westville is roughly 150 miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis.
