INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis park has a new basketball court, thanks in part to one of the city's biggest sports stars.
On Friday, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and city leaders cut the ribbon on the renovated court at Fall Creek & 30th Park.
The court got a fresh coat of paint, new hoops, landscaping work and more.
It's the first of five Indy Parks courts getting a facelift.
Haliburton said he's committed to staying in Indianapolis and giving back to the community.
"I hope it means everything," he said. "For me, it was always like, you always wanted to go to the court that was like the newest one, the one that looked the nicest, felt the best. And what better one than this one right here? Hopefully it just encourages kids to get outside. If it's basketball, that's awesome, but there are so many things you can do out here."
Haliburton is busy these days. He's getting ready to compete on Team USA at the Olympic Games in Paris.
