Indiana Pacers, Fever hosting 2024 Jr. Hoops Tour with 5 camps at local high schools

For a full week, young ballers all around the Indy-area will get a chance to learn from NBA and WNBA professionals for free.

INDIANAPOLIS — Starting Monday, young ballers all around central Indiana will have the chance to get coached by some of the NBA's and WNBA's finest athletes, who play right here in Indianapolis!

The 2024 Jr. Hoops Tour is free for all kids ages 6-14 and provides them with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game while having fun with professional basketball athletes playing for our Indiana teams.

The training tour will stop at five local high schools in the Indy area throughout the week, with mentors from both the Indiana Fever and Pacers.

Here is a full list of the high schools the tour will stop at, along with which professional players are helping coach:

Monday:

  • Warren Central High School
  • 9500 E. 16th St., Indianapolis, IN 46229
  • 1-2 p.m.
    • Player: Kendall Brown, Indiana Pacers

Tuesday:

  • St. Luke Catholic School
  • 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, IN 46260
  • 1-2 p.m.
    • Player: Kendall Brown, Indiana Pacers

Wednesday:

  • Arsenal Technical High School
  • 1500 E. Michigan St., Indianapolis, IN 46201
    • Players:
    • 1-2 p.m.: Kendall Brown, Indiana Pacers
    • 2-4 p.m.: Celeste Taylor and Victaria Saxton, Indiana Fever

Thursday:

  • Decatur Central High School
  • 5251 Kentucky Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46221
  • 1-2 p.m.
    • Player: Isaiah Jackson, Indiana Pacers

Friday:

  • Pacers Athletic Center
  • 200 E. 186th St., Westfield, IN 46074
  • 1-2 p.m.
    • Player: Isaiah Jackson, Indiana Pacers

While the tour will maintain a heavy focus on basketball fundamentals, it will also emphasize sportsmanship, respect, teamwork and healthy living.
