LAWRENCE, Indiana — Students across Indiana are gearing up to go back to school, and that includes families in Lawrence.
Lawrence Township Schools makes up one of the area's largest districts. Students in the district go back to class next week.
Before that, families will get the chance to make sure they're ready.
On Tuesday, July 30 from 4 to 6 p.m., all 11 elementary schools and early learning centers will open their doors so students can meet their teacher, drop off supplies, get bus information, tour the building and much more.
School starts Thursday, Aug. 1.
Also on Tuesday, a back-to-school vaccination clinic is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. at the Lawrence Education and Community Center on Sunnyside Road. There's more information here.
Back-to-school nights for Indianapolis Public Schools start Thursday, July 25 and run through early next week.
Classes also resume Thursday, Aug. 1 for IPS students.
