INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a crash on Indianapolis' northeast side Thursday morning.
Around 8:15 a.m. Oct. 26, IMPD officers responded to the intersection of East 38th Street and North Shadeland Avenue for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Officers located a pedestrian who was taken in critical condition to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, IMPD said.
The driver of the car that hit the pedestrian stayed at the scene after the crash, according to police.
IMPD accident investigators responded to the scene.
The intersection of East 38th Street and North Shadeland Avenue was closed for several hours Thursday morning.
