Pedestrian seriously injured in east Indianapolis crash

The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Euclid Avenue.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash on Indianapolis' east side Tuesday morning.

Around 9:15 a.m. Nov. 7, officers responded to the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Euclid Avenue, east of North Sherman Drive, for a report of a crash.

Officers located a person who appeared to have been struck by a car, who was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, IMPD told 13News.

The driver of the car that struck the person remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, officers at the scene said.

Traffic in the area was impacted for several hours Tuesday morning.
