INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — An IMPD officer is in serious but stable condition after being involved in a two-car crash on the city's south side Friday morning.
The incident happened shortly after 8 a.m. at South Keystone and National avenues.
The officer was going through a green light on National Avenue when someone failed to stop at the red light at Keystone Avenue and struck the officer's car on the driver's side.
Witnesses at the scene told investigators they believe the other driver may have been having a medical issue at the time of impact.
The IMPD officer was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The other driver involved in the crash is in critical condition and was taken to a hospital.
