IMPD officer on leave after being arrested in Kentucky

An Indianapolis Metro Police officer is now on administrative leave without police powers after being arrested in Kentucky last week.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WTHR) - An Indianapolis Metro Police officer is now on administrative leave without police powers after being arrested in Kentucky last week.

The Henderson, Kentucky police department says Jeremy Fuesler stated that he began arguing with a family member in the parking lot of a Burger King when it became physical.

When the family member attempted to get in his vehicle, Fuesler told police he pushed the person away and pulled out a gun which he then pointed at the family member.

The family member told police the argument became physical and that Fuesler pointed a gun at him and made threats which was what a witness also stated.

The victim suffered a minor injury during the altercation.

Police arrested Fuesler at the scene for endangerment and assault.

IMPD says they are awaiting on additional information from the arresting agency.
