22-year-old, 29-year-old motorcyclists killed in hit-and-run crash on Indy's west side

The crash happened around 1 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Lafayette Road, near West 34th Street.

INDIANAPOLIS — A man and woman in their 20s were killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning on the west side of Indianapolis.

According to IMPD, officers responded to a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in the 3500 block of Lafayette Road, near West 34th Street, shortly after 1 a.m. July 28.

Police said the two people on the motorcycle were taken to local hospitals, where both died from their injuries. The coroner's office identified the victims as 22-year-old Welsy Johana Santos Jimenez and 29-year-old Jorge Cabrera. 

IMPD said they have no "releasable suspect information at this time," and the investigation is ongoing.
