INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department is investigating after a suspected stolen car was found submerged in a south Indianapolis retention pond early Monday.
Around 5:15 a.m. June 10, officials responding to the scene found a half-submerged car in a pond just south of South Tibbs Avenue and West Southport Road.
Around 6:20 a.m., the car was pulled from the pond, and officials didn't find anyone inside.
IMPD believes the car was stolen, and officers are working to figure out what led up to it crashing in the pond.
