INDIANAPOLIS — A vacant house on the near southwest side of Indianapolis caught fire Saturday night.
In a social media post, the Indianapolis Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched to the 900 block of West Miller Street, near Harding Street, on a report of a house fire shortly after 7 p.m. Jan. 13.
Crews arrived and said the flames were large and at risk of threatening the home next door. According to IFD, high winds caused the building's roof to collapse within minutes.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in roughly 45 minutes. No one was injured in the blaze, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
