The fire happened early Sunday, March 3, along East 38th Street near North College Avenue.

INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators with the Indianapolis Fire Department are asking for the public's help after the cause of a fire at a vacant building was ruled arson on the city's north side.

The fire broke out shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, March 3 in the 600 block of East 38th Street, near North College Avenue.

The two-story building partially collapsed, causing some live power lines to go down, IFD said previously. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.

In a social media post March 20, the department said investigators determined the fire was arson, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628 or email TIPS1@dhs.in.gov.
