INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - With eclipse viewing glasses becoming hard to find, Angela Buchman shows you how to make your own eclipse viewing box at home.
Supply list to make your own solar eclipse viewing box:
- box
- scissors
- tape
- foil
- pen or pencil
- piece of paper
Angela shows you how to make the viewer in the video above if you need some help, but here's what you do:
Trace the length of the box on a piece of paper, then cut it off and tape it into the bottom of the box.
Cut the ends off the bottom flap of the box, leaving a flap in the middle, then cover one of the holes with foil.
Put a pinhole in the center of the foil.
Turn your back to the sun and look in the open end of the box to SAFELY view the eclipse!
