INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett released his 2020 budget proposal Monday night at the City-County Building.
For the very first time, it includes money for IMPD to get body cameras.
Hogsett is proposing $1.2 million to equip IMPD with the technology that several other departments already use.
The mayor's $1.2 billion budget will also focus on infrastructure, food deserts and crime prevention.
