INDIANAPOLIS — A traditional soul food restaurant just opened its second location on Indy's north side.
Located at 1411 W. 86th St., near Ditch Road, His Place Eatery serves an array of southern dishes and smoked meats for dine in or carry out.
Officials said the new location features a couple of new menu additions along with the eatery’s beloved classics.
Some menu items include fried chicken, pork chops, fried catfish, hickory smoked ribs, pulled pork, chicken and waffles, po'boys, mac and cheese, potato salad, collard greens and much more. Click here to look at the full menu.
The new location is 4,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 110 people. According to a news release, the expansion will bring 40-50 new jobs to the community.
His Place Eatery’s north side location is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The restaurant is locally owned and operated and has one other location at 6916 East 30th St. on Indy's east side.
