Coroners say a central Indiana jail inmate has died of multiple injuries.

The Marion County Coroner's Office said Monday that 32-year-old Brian L. Gosser died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Gosser died Friday in an Indianapolis hospital after being transferred there from the Henry County Jail in New Castle.

The Henry County prosecutor is looking into the case, along with multiple police agencies.

The New Castle man was arrested Feb. 17 on drunken driving charges. A Henry Circuit Court hearing was scheduled for Monday morning on Gosser's request for a reduction of his $12,000 bond or to be released on home detention.

Gosser was the son of former Rush County Sheriff Douglas Gosser.
