NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WTHR) - Three men face preliminary charges of murder in a Sunday afternoon shooting in Spiceland.
Answering a 911 call for gunshots, Henry County Sheriff's Deputies found Chancellor Smith and Jessie Fulton, both 23, shot in a home on County Road 325 West on the northwest side of Spiceland. Smith later died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Fulton was also taken to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
Sunday night, police arrested 26-year-old Camron Perkins, 24-year-old Devin Asberry and 27-year-old Tyler Pennington for their involvement in the shootings.
Police say Pennington was also wounded in the shooting in Spiceland.
Smith is scheduled for an autopsy Monday in Indianapolis.
New Castle and Indiana State Police and the Henry County Prosecutor's office coordinated on the arrest of the three suspects.
