INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indianapolis EMS, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, and the Indy Public Safety Foundation are working to together to collect winter-ready items for those in need.
The "Stock the Ambulance" campaign kicks off today and runs through Friday.
Items that they're looking for include:
- Coats
- Blankets
- Shampoo & conditioner
- bars of soap
- Washclothes
- Toothbrushes
If you'd like to donate, stop in at these locations between noon and 6 p.m. on the appropriate dates:
- IMPD North District, 3120 East 30th Street on Monday 11/13
- IEMS Headquarters, 3930 Georgetown Road on Tuesday 11/14
- Family Dollar, 1017 East Morris Street on Wednesday 11/15
- IMPD East District, 201 North Shadeland Avenue on Thursday 11/16
- IMPD Southwest District, 551 King Avenue on Friday 11/17
Collection times each day will be from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
The Indy Public Safety Foundation says they will match the first 100 coats or blankets donated.
