Help Indianapolis EMS, IMPD, and Indy Public Safety 'Stock the Ambulance' with winter supplies

IEMS, IMPD, and Indy Public Safety are looking for winter items to help people in need this holiday season.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indianapolis EMS, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, and the Indy Public Safety Foundation are working to together to collect winter-ready items for those in need.

The "Stock the Ambulance" campaign kicks off today and runs through Friday.

Items that they're looking for include:

  • Coats
  • Blankets
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • bars of soap
  • Washclothes
  • Toothbrushes


If you'd like to donate, stop in at these locations between noon and 6 p.m. on the appropriate dates:

  • IMPD North District, 3120 East 30th Street on Monday 11/13
  • IEMS Headquarters, 3930 Georgetown Road on Tuesday 11/14
  • Family Dollar, 1017 East Morris Street on Wednesday 11/15
  • IMPD East District, 201 North Shadeland Avenue on Thursday 11/16
  • IMPD Southwest District, 551 King Avenue on Friday 11/17

Collection times each day will be from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

The Indy Public Safety Foundation says they will match the first 100 coats or blankets donated.
