Harrison College announced Friday that all of their campuses are closing effective Sunday.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Harrison College announced Friday that all of their campuses are closing effective Sunday.

The closure includes all three Indianapolis campuses as well as Anderson, Columbus, Evansville, Fort Wayne and Terre Haute.

Harrison College was founded as Indiana Business College in 1902.

The college cited declining enrollment and financial pressures with limited resources as the reason for the closure.

Harrison College posted the following statement on their website Friday evening:

After 116 years serving Indiana, Ohio and North Carolina, Harrison College has made the difficult business decision to close operations effective Sunday, September 16, 2018, and for the The Chef’s Academy (TCA )Sunday, October 14, 2018 (the end of their current term).

We are working with transfer and teach-out partners including State governing bodies and our accreditors to ensure each student has a pathway to complete their education.

The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne will be offering scholarship funds to students of Harrison College.

The scholarship is called “The Franciscan Harrison Promise” and will provide an annual amount of $10,000 for tuition to displaced Harrison College students.

Current Harrison students are encouraged to visit the college's website for future updates.
