NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The Hamilton County 911 Center rolled out new technology that is designed to significantly improve emergency response times and communication for first responders.

The new automated system provides essential details, such as the location and nature of the call, immediately upon dispatch.

“We are excited to introduce this system to our county’s emergency response teams,” said Mike Hubbs, director of the 911 Communications Department. “This system not only enhances our operational efficiency but also improves the service we provide to our community. By reducing the time it takes to dispatch responders, we are ultimately saving lives.”

The new system also allows dispatchers to maintain communication with callers while sending out alerts, ensuring information can be relayed in real-time without compromising the speed of response.

“Our goal with this rollout is to ensure that our responders have the tools they need to perform their duties effectively,” Hubbs said.

Several other 911 centers in central Indiana also use the automated technology.
