GREENWOOD, Ind. — Police are investigating a a deadly car crash just east of Greenwood Thursday evening.
The Greenwood Fire Department posted to Facebook that crews responded to a crash near the intersection of County Line and Combs roads around 6 p.m. July 25.
The Johnson County Coroner's Office identified the person who died in the crash as 76-year-old Caren Gilcrist, of Indianapolis.
Traffic was blocked in all directions and roads were closed "for an extended period" during the investigation.
Greenwood police officers are investigating the crash, with assistance from the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
