Grant County Sheriff's Office K-9 Dink dies

"Dink will be missed, and his service made Grant County a better and safer place for its people to live and play," Sheriff Del Garcia said in a statement.

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — The Grant County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of K-9 Dink, who passed away recently just under a year after his retirement. 

Dink served for roughly eight years, first as a narcotics detection K-9 on the Joint Effort Against Narcotics Drug Task Force. 

He later served as a sheriff's department K-9 until retiring in January 2023.

"Dink will be missed, and his service made Grant County a better and safer place for its people to live and play," Grant County Sheriff Del Garcia said in a statement.
