GRANT COUNTY (WTHR) — A Grant County detective has resigned after 22 years on the job.
Lieutenant Shelby Taylor, a detective with the Grant Co Sheriffs Dept resigned on Tuesday.
State Police confirm they are investigating Lt. Taylor for official misconduct and theft at the request of the sheriffs Dept.
The Grant County Sheriff's Dept. said someone within the department reported a potential issue involving Taylor to administration. They started an internal investigation and then turned it over to state police yesterday afternoon. The department tells us Taylor’s resignation was a mutually agreed upon decision.
