SHELBY COUNTY, Indiana — It's Thursday, and it's time for some good news!
This week, our Dave Calabro is at Shelbyville's Coulston Elementary School, where they actually have a Good News Award for their students.
One student showed us hers.
"It says 'thank you for being a great role model and leader.'"
A student named Lila got one, too.
"Lila is a real team player," Dave read from the card. "She worked very well with her peers during our math game."
And the award another student received called him a great example for others.
"Giovanni is always respectful, responsible."
Dave also met the school's principal this week.
"Our good news is we heard you love cowboy cookies, and so we are hand delivering some cowboy cookies, homemade this morning for you."
Dave accepted the thoughtful gift with a big smile and an "oh my gosh!"
