INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Several people are displaced after their Fountain Square home caught fire early Thursday morning.

Flames broke out of the home located in the 1200 block of Lexington Avenue, between Olive and Laurel streets around 2:50 a.m.

Three adults and four children were home at the time, but thankfully, they were all able to get out without injury.

Firefighters at the scene say the fire started in the back of the home which made it difficult for crews to get the fire out.

The fire caused about $50,000 in damages, but the cause remains unknown at this time.

The Red Cross has stepped in to help the family find a temporary place to live.
