Boone County - Former Colts Quarterback Jack Trudeau now faces a felony charge of obstruction of justice, following a party for teenagers at his house. Police say alcohol was served.
Trudeau isn't the only big name involved in the police investigation.
A pool side view of Jack Trudeau's estate from Chopper 13 shows where police say they found tents, teens and tubs of trouble.
"They saw open containers of alcoholic beverage present, beer and hard liquors," said Boone County Sheriff Ken Campbell.
Police confiscated 97 various unopened cans of beer and 30 empty ones. They discovered an empty half gallon of vodka, and an empty bottle of champagne, as well as a red funnel with a three-foot hose used as a beer bong.
The former Colts quarterback told police he wanted to do his daughter's graduation party the "right way." His goal was to keep Park Tudor attendees from accidents like the one a week ago involving an allegedly impaired Zionsville football player.
Trudeau told police he "made all guests sign in and leave vehicle keys; it didn't matter if they drank or not. They had to spend the night," he is quoted as saying in case records.
Sheriff Campbell says there are legal and other concerns with that reasoning. "What happens at three or four o'clock in the morning when one of them after they've been impaired falls in the swimming pool?" the sheriff questioned.
The keys are now in police custody, but prosecutors want the list. They're charging Trudeau with felony obstruction of justice.
"That list is not able to be provided to us. So the obstruction of justice charge as the state law indicates is tampering with evidence - obstruction of evidence as part of the official investigation of a crime," explained Prosecutor Todd Meyer.
One name they do know is former Conseco Executive Stephen Hilbert. His role is unclear, but the Sheriff says Hilbert was there and told police to get a warrant.
"Mr. Hilbert was there and polite and professional with our officers," said Sheriff Campbell.
"I don't think there should be any particular focus on the Hilberts. There were other adults at this party too," added Meyer.
Other adults in attendance include Trudeau's wife Lisa. She was officially charged Monday with two misdemeanor counts: furnishing alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
"We elected to summons Mrs. Trudeau into court as opposed to bring her to jail that night," the Sheriff told Eyewitness News.
According to police reports, Jack Trudeau asked officers, "What do we have to do to make this go away?"
Trudeau and the 12 teens arrested Saturday night all waived their initial hearings Monday afternoon where formal charges are read. Trudeau's attorney, Michael Andreoli said it's not uncommon for clients to waive their first appearance.
Investigators say they want to talk with everyone who attended that party and hope grads and their parents will come forward.
Trudeau played for the Colts from 1986 to 1993. He passed for 10,243 yards, 42 touchdowns and 69 interceptions in his career.
