Clay County - A former Brazil City Clerk-Treasurer has been arrested on several felony charges over missing funds.
Tracy Webster, 42, turned herself in late Tuesday afternoon as a result of warrants issued Tuesday charging her with one count of forgery and three counts of theft, all felonies.
Police say a routine audit by the Indiana State Board of Accounts found alleged discrepancies with public funds trusted to Webster in 2007-08. At the conclusion of a joint investigation with ISP's Criminal Investigation Division, detectives found approximately $11,500 in public fund dollars that had allegedly been diverted to personal use by Webster.
She is being held on a $10,000 bond.
